Matte Red Glitter — October 20, 2011

Matte Red Glitter

Today I’m having a bit of a sucky morning. I suffer from really bad stomach pain some days, and apparently today was one of those days, so I got up and decided to post this.

After my nail fail, thanks to my top coat, I had to redo my nails, but wasn’t sure what to do since my top coat was being naff and goopy. I decided to use my matte topcoat instead, and some glitter. I started with two coats of Revlon Lunar a black creme, opaque in two coats.

To that, I added two coats of Revlon’s Slipper which is red and silver small round glitter and holo hex glitter in a clear base.

Without flash:

This next one is with flash.

The glitter, wasn’t completely smooth so I added one coat of Rimmel’s Matte Top coat:

I really love how the red glitter almost glows in this, and I really quite enjoyed wearing it!

Graduation Nails — September 11, 2011

Graduation Nails

On Friday, I graduated from University. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for it, but my gown was black and green and I was planning on wearing a white dress so I knew it had to work with them. Because I had enjoyed wearing a french tip to my interview I decided to do it again, but slightly different.

For the base I used Revlon Lunar a plain black creme that is nearly opaque in one coat, but I did two for good measure. It dries really quickly and with a really high shine.

For the  Stamping I used Color Club Worth the Risque and Konad Plate M44

I really liked this and people told me it looked awesome.

Purple Heart & Holographic — September 7, 2011

Purple Heart & Holographic

I had an interview for a new job earlier today and I wore a french manicure with a twist for it so I’ll be posting that either later today or tomorrow. This is another old look but I think it’s pretty cool so I figured I’d post it to see what you think.

Purple Heart is a gorgeous purple/green duochrome from GOSH.

I loved this colour, and the sun was out the day I put it on so I decided to add some holographic stamping.

I added the geometric stamping from plate M64 in Color Club’s Worth the Risque, and then Revlon’s Top Coat. This looked AWESOME in the sun and I really loved wearing it.

Here’s a slightly blurry shot that shows the sparkle better:

That’s all for now but there may be another post up later today!

Do you own Purple Heart or Worth the Risque? What are your thoughts on them? Have you worn them together?

Thanks for reading,

Purple Silver swirl — September 1, 2011

Purple Silver swirl

This is an old nail picture but I really loved wearing it which is why I thought I’d post it for you all to see anyway.

This is Color Club Wild at Heart stamped with Color Club Worth the risque and Konad Plate m63:

Here’s another (blurry) picture to show the holo yumminess!!

I got tons of compliments when I wore this since luckily it was a lovely sunny day and therefore I could show it off in all it’s glory!
