Baby Jane Make up — October 26, 2011

Baby Jane Make up

In university in the last year we did a production of Federico Lorcas Blood Wedding. We had an idea to base the neighbor on Baby Jane

Picure from here

Since I love make up I set about having a play trying to recreate the look

Picture from here

I put prit stick on my eyebrows and then waited fro it to dry before applying my foundation and powder all over my face.

Next I drew in my eyebrows, slanting them upwards slightly. Nest I outlined my lips in red liner pulling it out slightly to elongate my lips. I then filled in my lips with red lipstick.

Finally I added black eyeliner on the top and bottom, mascara and a beauty spot. Also some pinky blusher on my cheekbones.

Thanks for reading, and let me know what you think

Blue and Purple Eyes — September 15, 2011

Blue and Purple Eyes

The other day I had stayed in all day in my pyjamas so I didn’t bother putting make up on. However at about 9pm I had this sudden urge to put some on so I did, and came up with this.

And here’s a close up of an eye for you:

For the eye look I mostly used shadows from the 120 pro palette that you can get off of ebay here.

I used the colours circled in Pink on the lid, and then the colours that are circles in Purple were blended into the crease.

For the purple under the eyes I used Fishnet and Ransom (circled in red) smudged on with a small brush. They are from the Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow box.

For a highlight I used an eyeshadow by Natural Collection called Snow storm

Snow storm is a very pale whitish blue with a subtle blue duochrome finish. I also put it in my inner corner.

I then added mascara and eyeliner to finish the eyes.

On my face I used Mac Prolong wear in nc15, set with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in translucent.

The blush I used is circled in Blue and it is from the coastal scents blush palette.

Finally for lips I used NYX Margarita:

And then topped it off with GOSH Light n shine in 05 Plum:

I chose this picture as you can slightly see the blue sparkle. However it is much more easily visible on the lips so I thought it would compliment the blue/purple on the eyes.

That’s all for now, hope you liked it’

Doll Face — September 1, 2011

Doll Face

Hi everyone!

I have an obsession with make up, all things make up, and as a matter of fact ‘obsession’ is probably an understatement!

I spend a lot of time reading blogs, and watching make up videos online so I figured it was about time I shared my own views and such, since I do have a lot to say. Well, after thinking I decided that since I love writing it made sense to start up my own little blog. So here it is!

Now, since this is my first post, I figured I’d keep it simple. This is a look that I did for an idea for some university work a while ago, I had to do a ‘Doll Make up’ look and this is what I came up with:

Now one thing I must apologise for is that I took this photo a while (like nearly a year) ago so I cant remember exactly what I used, but I can give you an idea!

Eyes:

Cream coloured eye shadow on lids,

Pink eyeshadow in crease and blended upwards,

Pale pink shimmery eyeshadow as a highlight

White eyeliner on waterline

Black liquid eyeliner close to upper lashes

Black mascara

False lashes

Cheeks:

Medium pink blusher (I think it’s fleur power from mac)

Soft and gentle mac mineralize skinfinish

Lips:

Pink lipstick

Golden shimmery lip gloss.

Here’s a pic with my eyes closed so you can see the eye shadow better.

Hope you like this there’ll be something else up soon!
